Press Clips: Mudd Licenses Jewelry

Juniors apparel brand Mudd announced it will debut a branded line of women's and girl's costume jewelry at Market Week in June. Mudd signed a licensing deal with K&M Associates to manufacture and market the jewelry. Steven Seidman, chairman of Ingroup licensing, Mudd's exclusive licensing agent, and Greg Lamoreuax, K&M's sales and marketing vice president made the announcement.
Under the agreement, the debut line will include necklaces, rings and bracelets in a color palette that reflects the Mudd lifestyle look. Products are expected to be in store for back-to-school 2004. The collection will be available at Mervyn's, Kohl's and other Mudd retailers according to Seidman.
The Mudd denim line was founded in 1995 and has grown to include 22 domestic and international licensees which carry the Mudd name and create products in the Mudd image. The company realizes annual wholesale sales in the U.S. of over $500 million.K&M Associates, founded in 1959, manufactures and markets costume jewelry in the U.S. The company's traditional growth came from developing many retailers' house brands. In 2001, the company opened its Vendýme Division which designs and produces the Anne Klein and Guess? Lines of fashion jewelry.
