NEW YORK, August 1, 2005 Fast-growing, young contemporary fashion brand kenzie will launch belts, hats, and cold weather accessories at market week in August. The line will also be in the kenzie booth (15604) at WWD/MAGIC, and product will ship to retail in September 2005. kenzie signed the deal with New York-based Amiee-Lynn, Inc. Eric Karls, kenzie's CEO, and Steven Seidman, chairman of Ingroup Licensing, kenzie's exclusive licensing agent, made the announcement.ý
The new accessories include belts, shrugs, ponchos, capelets, hats, and cold weather pieces. Key colors include black, chocolate brown, cognac, deep violet, deep teal, white and gray.ýOver 60 belts will be shown in the premiere offering, with various feminine fabrications including suede, leather, snakeskin and mixed rope.ýShrugs, ponchos, and capelets will be soft, crocheted nylon acrylic blends, lace, chiffon, cable-knit, and angora. Key looks for hats and cold weather accessories include knits, embellished with pearls and sequins, herringbone, as well as suede and leather pieces.ýThe initial offering will include about 100 styles.
According to Michael Spolansky, President of Amiee-Lynn, "We will be selling to department and specialty stores in the US and Canada."
Eric Karls notes, "kenzie has been very successful growing through licensing; within the past year, shoes, accessories, jewelry, loungewear, and kids' wear have been added to the brand's portfolio."
kenzie is a young contemporary brand parented by Vancouver-based Westcoast Contempo Fashions, Ltd. It is available in better department and specialty stores. kenzie has two freestanding stores in the US, including their recently opened flagship in Santa Monica; they are opening additional stores in the US and China in 2005 and 2006.
